Macau Spitfire, 2.5 PI, Dolomite Sprint

An interesting find was made recently while browsing the internet. A 1/43 resin model kit of the Macau Spitfire was release by a company called Provence Moulage in France.

The model is fairly detailed and comes packaged with all items for the assembly, including stickers. The only notable items missing are the assembly instructions and the paint. The model itself is received in a raw resin format and still needs to be cleaned of all the excess resin, then needs to be painted and assembled.

VA05308 - Triumph Dolomite Sprint - 30th Anniversary - Black – due for release July 2003

There are various models released this year to mark some of the many anniversaries in the car world. Corgi would like everyone to be aware that these models (the first is VA05308 Triumph Dolomite Sprint 30th Anniversary) are made in strictly limited quantities, and will be 'allocated' to stockists. For instance, because only 1500 have been made of the Dollie, stockists have been allocated 40% of the quantity they order, and many of their customers have already been disappointed. 'We are doing this trying to respond to the consumer desire for more collect ability', they insist.
