Back to Events CLASSICS RACE DAY AT KILLARNEY
Report-back by: Tim CruiseWow! What a brilliant day it was! It was great to see the Piper Classics back in action again, plus some very welcome newcomers in the form of a red GT6 from Jo'burg, racing in the 'Fine Cars' category, and a beautiful navy blue TR4, brought over from England and racing in the 'Classic Sports Cars' category.

Not to be outdone, our very own Alan Grant, President of the TSCC, had his TR3-based Protea sports car in fine fettle and zooming around Killarney in the 'Historic Single-seaters' category. It looked like he was having a lot of fun…!!!

The CMMC (Cape Multi-Motor Club) also tested a new show format, to replace the annual Tygerberg Wheels Show, with great success. All in all, over 150 classic/sports cars were on display in the specially demarcated central display area next to the main WPMC clubhouse.

In terms of our club showing, a little bit disappointing with only 7 cars on display, but hopefully we can get the numbers up for next year!
Once again, the racing was awesome, with some very experienced drivers pushing some very expensive tin around the track and providing thrills a-plenty!

Let's make next year's event a Triumph-ant one!!!
