THE GEORGE MOTOR SHOW, 9 -11 FEB 2007
Report-back by Gordon Waring

Greetings from Blouhuis Farm in the dry and hot Klein Karoo. Not many changes here and we are again in a serious drought. But enough of that.

The George Motor Show was, as always, a super show. Denise and I again travelled there with the Cape Jaguar Drivers Club, on Friday and spent the weekend in George. The venue, the organisation, the atmosphere, and the cars at the show are truly amazing. Unfortunately there were only a couple of TR's on show. The veteran cars were there in masse and again the show-stopper was Stuart Halsall's 1920 Silver Ghost Rolls-Royce. The car was driven all the way from Somerset West and back in the rain! This was our third visit with the Jag Club as they make it an annual club outing. But we have been with the Triumph Club in years past! Why not try to get a group together and attend next year. I can assure you that you won't be disappointed.
