Club AGM
Saturday 27th March at the Parow clubhouse.

Quite a busy day. Cars and people were present in abundance, and what a pretty sight most of them were (cars and people).

The activities started off at 2pm with a show day where Triumphs were put on display in order that the assembled multitudes could vote for the "Car of the Year 2004" award. No easy task given the standard of many of the cars. At 4pm this was followed by the serious business of electing a new Chairman and Committee, again, no easy task given that the existing Committee, en masse, were not up for re-election. Finding a Chairman was easy, Gerhard Vorster by a country mile. Richard Graham volunteered to stand as an ordinary Committee member, Ronan's arm was twisted to stay on as Treasurer and Chris Schultz volunteered himself and the absent Marion as Secretary and Committee member. (No doubt Marion was thrilled at this turn of events.) After some more buggering around Mike volunteered his and Nerina's services as Committee members, and, just for good luck, volunteered Sheila Maggs as Social Secretary. This was then formalised, as well as Margaret Young continuing her Sabrina Scribe role. After a stunned silence during the normally boisterous "General" closing section of the AGM it was time to get on with the really serious business of braai'ng and socialising- something the TSCC of Cape Town is noted for 'cause they do both so well!!!
